I know, it's an unfortunate nickname. I have Terry Ruskowski to blame. I worked for Terry in Knoxville in the UHL, and he was calling me "Zucchini" because my last name sort of sounds like that. I told him, "Terry, you played in the show for 15 years and the best you can do is call me something my Little League teammates used to call me?" I can still see him leaning back, hand on his chin, thinking. Then he said it. "Bootsy." Being young and fairly green, I immediatly said "What the hell is Bootsy?" And Rosco responded, "That's it your're Bootsy." Had I just shrugged it off he probably would have come up with something else.

I'm sitting right now up in the press box here in Lubbock watching the team practice and the guys look like they're having fun, but working hard. It's a good, uptempo practice

Later today, some of us are going to the Buddy Holly Museum.

First post here. Chewey will be happy. I wonder how behind the 8 ball I am. I've not had a chance to look around on here yet. I'll use this as Bootsy's Blog so Killer Bees fans can see how things are going from the road, etc.

In about 6 hours, I'll be on my way to Florida for a few days of R&R and to see my daughter before the season starts. I should be sleeping.
